“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you—from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”

1 Peter 2:9-10 MSG

In Christ , we are described as a Holy Nation. We have a new identity , purpose and lifestyle because of Christ . We are required then to tell the world how God transformed us from spiritual death to life .

When I was about 8 years old , my home room teacher Mrs . Whyte liked particular artworks done in a certain way . As her student , I recognized this very early in the semester and immediately took advantage of this , based on what I knew she liked . As you can imagine , I soon became very special to her and she would always have my pieces displayed to the entire class as a good example to follow . All this happened because I chose to be special to her.

To be a Holy Nation means being peculiar and special to God . It means devoting your life to God solely for his use and for his glory with whatever gifts and talents he has given you .

“because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY (set apart), FOR I AM HOLY.”

1 Peter 1:16 AMP

It’s a requirement for us Christians to live a life that pleases God in all aspects . We should not live to please men but devote ourselves to pleasing God . By doing this , you look different , you speak differently and your whole lifestyle becomes different .

You are special to God !
