The New Man (As a Light to the World)-7

““You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;”

In my earlier years as a toddler and even a teenager , we would always be encouraged to be a light to our classmates in every way . My Sunday School teacher would always conjure up some scenarios and ask how we would respond as Christians . Some of the examples or experiences never materialized and I did not get a chance to display all the solutions that I had to these scenarios . As years went by , the need to be a light became more apparent in my life as darker situations presented themselves .

We are called to be a light to others in this life by sharing the message of Jesus Christ . Do not hide that fact that you are a Christian with a mandate. You are a city set upon a hill that cannot and should not be hidden . You become that light when you are an ambassador for HIM. The light of Christ has the power to eliminate darkness , fear and sin . You would notice that when you enter a dark room , you walk cautiously and sometimes feel stuck at a particular place because nothing is clear . When light appears , you are relived and there is a sense of peace . The light of Christ is the light of life . The entrance of light , which is the word of God illuminates every dark corner and crevice in your life . There is instant relief and peace .
