My name is Zaheedah Torindo and I am a Zimbabwean. I met Melissa in 2016 at the First Love Church in China but actually started talking to her last year (2019).
Being a Christian means believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins and accepting Him as your personal Lord and Savior. Naturally people like good to almost perfect things or people , however Christ took me as I was with all my ‘somewayness’. He loves me with all my crookedness. There is no greater love than this. Honestly , I feel my walk with God is just Him showing me mercy and mercy and more mercies.
“But God, being [so very] rich in mercy, because of His great and wonderful love with which He loved us, even when we were [spiritually] dead and separated from Him because of our sins, He made us [spiritually] alive together with Christ (for by His grace—His undeserved favor and mercy—you have been saved from God’s judgment). And He raised us up together with Him [when we believed], and seated us with Him in the heavenly places, [because we are] in Christ Jesus,”

At times, it is difficult to stay put when you see the negative circumstances around you or to be consistent with your prayer goals or personal bible study. I have overcome that by exposing myself more to the word, listening more to my Pastor who always encourages me to do that : just listen.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17).
God has also given us a helper, the Holy Spirit (John 14:16-17) and whenever I ask God for the Holy Spirit, I see the difference ! He really he always helps!
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.”
