“And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, And between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; He shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you shall [only] bruise His heel.”
Genesis 3:15 AMP
After the fall of man is Genesis 3, God reveals his intention of man’s redemption through a promised seed . It is though of the protoevangelism because this is the first glimpse of the gospel of Jesus Christ .
This was one of the earliest prophecies and predictions of a saviour who is powerful enough to bruise the head of the serpent . Jesus Christ is the ultimate seed of woman who would bring salvation to fallen humanity .
From the inception of the Bible , we are expectant of a seed that would come from man and later save us from the deceptions and schemes of the serpent . The sentence for man or the compensation for man’s sin was death according to to Genesis 3:3 , but God gives a promise or covenant of a seed of man that essentially bring salvation and redemption to man .
This prophecy today is my testimony because the coming of Jesus Christ has destroyed the plans and deceptions that would hang over my head had it been otherwise . The seed of Jesus Christ has bloomed into who I am today and has transformed my life through salvation . Today , I rejoice that the serpent’s hold on my life has been cut off and destroyed ! I am now free in Jesus Christ .
This is your prophecy too if only you believe it . The word has been spoken long before you were born . You have to believe that the promised redeemer Jesus Christ has the power to crush the head of the serpent . It can be doubts, addictions , tendencies , thoughts or anxieties . Whatever it is , believe and trust that the serpent’s head is crushed . That is the power of Jesus Christ !
