Day 14 – My Jesus Journal – The Master Builder

My Dad always told his story of how he had purposed in his heart that he would never opt to live in a rented house . He explained how he would build his dream house from scratch regardless of how long it took him . His dream house took many years but now he is very happy with the result and encourages his children and grandchildren to do the same .

Nehemiah was a strategic builder who rallied the people of Judah and encouraged them to build so that they would no longer be a mockery . He wanted to bring their attention to how God was with them and was helping them in their intent . They made a resolve that they would join the the good work of building .

Then I told them how the hand of my God had been favorable to me and also about the words that the king had spoken to me. And they said, “Let us rise up and build.” So they thoroughly supported the good work.”

We are God’s workmanship . The Greek word for workmanship is Poiēma . We show that we are part of this great work by faith in Jesus Christ . God has created a work for us to do even before we were born . This good work is as a result of our salvation and not a precursor to salvation .

“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

We are strategically placed on Earth for good works . God has prepared something good for us to do for him in this lifetime . Are you strengthening your hands to work for the master builder ? What good work have you been given to build his kingdom ?
