Earlier this year , I met a young man who was hired by my parents to complete a task . Upon completion , he secretly asked my sister to ask if my mother desired to have a son. This young man was an orphan and he was in need of help . As you can imagine, my ever so generous mother took him under her wing and now we have a brother who has become part of our family . He enjoys all the blessings and privileges that any of us girls would receive .
Mordecai adopted Esther as his own daughter. Esther had neither status nor power but it shows how God is strategic to place people at the right place at the right time . She would become a great queen just by virtue of being positioned well .
“He was the guardian of Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle’s daughter, for she had no father or mother. The young woman was beautiful of form and face; and when her father and mother died, Mordecai took her in as his own daughter.”
Esther 2:7 AMP
God is ready and willing to adopt us as his sons and daughters but it requires us to accept Jesus Christ . Jesus Christ was sent unto his own people but his own received him not . Jesus Christ was sent to us today but many people do not receive him , much less accept him .
“But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name—”
John 1:12 AMP
My acceptance of Jesus Christ many years ago was one of my greatest decisions because even when people desert me and do not accept me for whatever reason, I have a hope . By receiving Jesus Christ , I have been given the power to become a child of God . I am now a joint – heir with Jesus Christ . That is a blessing !
