Day 51- My Jesus Journal – The Sight For The Pure In Heart

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“To the pure, all things are pure; but to the corrupt and unbelieving, nothing is pure; both their mind and their conscience are corrupted.”
‭‭Titus‬ ‭1:15‬ ‭AMP‬‬

From a medical perspective , the heart controls and pumps blood to the different organs in our bodies . The heart is one of the most important members for the general functioning of the body . From a spiritual point of view it affects our spiritual well being . Our hearts can be filled with jealousy , envy , malice , and many other forms of wickedness . When we allow these things to reside in our hearts , it affects our ability to see clearly. Imagine if you put water into a foggy container , the impurities would give a disillusioned appearance .

Inevitably , situations in life can change us and induce us to think in a certain way but we have to allow our minds to be renewed . What we think and speak is a reflection of what is in our hearts because the Bible reminds us that out of the abundance of the heart , the mouth speaks .

“You brood of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks out of that which fills the heart.”

Pray that you will be among the pure in heart . God is pure and only those who don’t have their hearts clouded with impurities will be able to see Him . Do not allow situations in life to change you and affect you so much that you are not able to see God . We have to try to remove abs rectify the issues of the heart that cloud our judgement and makes us blind to God and his manifestations . God is love , joy , peace , patience and also pure . Only the pure can see the pure .

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
