Day 55 – My Jesus Journal – Relation of Christ to the Law

“Do not think that I came to do away with or undo the Law [of Moses] or the [writings of the] Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For I assure you and most solemnly say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke [of the pen] will pass from the Law until all things [which it foreshadows] are accomplished.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:17-18‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The fact that Jesus intends to fulfill Jewish Law is very important to His ministry. The word fulfill means to accomplish, carry out , establish or bring out the intended meaning . Christ came to fulfill the law and writings of the Prophets . Before any part of God’s Word will pass or be insignificant then heaven and earth will pass away .

The Word of God for us is our foundation for all that we do . Make it your decision that every word or prophecy concerning you and your life comes to pass . Do not trivialize any part of the Word of God .

The Word of God is profitable for doctrine , for rebuke , for correction and for instruction in righteousness .

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:”
‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Paul provides two indispensable characteristics of the Word of God .

1. It is inspired by God -It is the breath of God

2. It is profitable to prepare godly people for every good work – It instructs and prepares us for the good work that is set before us .

If the scripture is inspired by God and God cannot lie then it is true and worthy of all acceptation .

Be blessed !
