Day 67- My Jesus Journal- Matters Of The Heart

The good man, from his [inner] good treasure, brings out good things; and the evil man, from his [inner] evil treasure, brings out evil things.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭12:35‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Jesus closes His encounter with the Pharisees after they uttered careless words . In their haste to deny Jesus , they had blasphemed the working of God through His Holy Spirit. Jesus gives a pronouncement of judgement on them for the words they had spoken and also gives insight on a very important revelation of one’s heart .

You can only say what is truly in your heart . After all, an evil heart cannot and will not produce good things . Likewise , a good heart will not produce evil things . No one can see our hearts but one thing that everyone can relate to , is what we say . I will admit , it is not always the easiest thing to say the right thing at the right time . As a result, we may have all offended someone with something that we have said at one point or another in our lives .

Now this is not our cue to condemn ourselves for every bad thing that we have said , but this is a chance for us to give our hearts to Jesus , the One who can truly change us. In Ezekiel 36:26 we are assured that a heart of stone can be changed to a heart of flesh . A heart of flesh is one that is malleable and receptive to the mighty working power of the Holy Spirit . If we give our hearts to God, He will surely work on them!

“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you, and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭36:26‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Be blessed !
